Do you have a history of swelling in your legs, arms, neck or face? Have you had lymph nodes removed? Have you had cancer surgery and/or radiation? Have you been told you have Congestive Heart Failure? Have you been told you have Chronic Venous Insufficiency? Do you have lower leg skin changes such as; dry skin, thick skin, color changes, weeping, and/or wounds? Do you take your socks and shoes off at the end of the day and notice an indent from the rim of your socks? Do have large hips and thighs with tenderness to the touch, bruise easily, and dimpling of your skin? Have you been treated for cellulitis? Have you had a traumatic event that has left you with swelling?
During your first appointment at 21st Century Rehab, you will meet with a Certified Lymphedema Therapist who specializes in this condition. A full assessment will take place and you will be educated about the cause of your swelling and treatment options. An individualized program will then be determined between you and your PT to best address your symptoms to improve your quality of life.
We treat: Primary Lymphedema, Lymphedema secondary to chronic venous insufficiency, congestive heart failure, cancer, obesity, trauma, infection.
