Vertigo
Improve your quality of life by addressing issues like vertigo, dizziness, and nausea.
“Several morning before coming to PT at the Knoxville Hospital, I was having dizzy spells. When lying down the spells were extremely awful. Justin examined me and immediately went into therapy. He diagnosed it as BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo). I’ve had two sessions with him and I no longer experience the dizziness.” – Diana K.
Do you ever feel dizzy or lightheaded? Do you feel unsteady and that your balance is not good? Have you had any recent falls or loss of balance? Do you notice that when you roll over in bed or first stand up that you feel dizzy for a few seconds? Are you using a cane or a walker due to feeling dizzy? Does bright light cause you to feel dizzy? Do you have any motion sensitivity? If you said “yes” to any of these questions, you would benefit from physical therapy to address the underlying cause of your pain, rather than just living with it.
During your first appointment at 21st Century Rehab, you will meet with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in treating your condition. A full assessment will take place and you will be educated about the cause of your symptoms as well as treatment options. An individualized program will then be determined between you and your PT to best address your dizziness, and help you get back to normal again!
