Chronic Diseases & MOG
Explore how various types of therapy, including MOG (Medically Oriented Gym) can help prevent and treat chronic disease.
“We were looking for a personalized strength/cardio workout, and this has met all our expectations. Ron’s A1C has dropped two points since the beginning of the program. I have been having some lower back pain and it is improving each day with stretches and exercise. The employees are great and always there to assist when needed. We would recommend this program to anyone wanting to feel stronger and healthier. – Julie R.
Chronic Diseases
Do you know that chronic diseases are among the most prevalent and costly health conditions in the United States? According to the National Institute of Health in 2018, nearly half (approximately 45%, or 133 million) of all Americans suffer from at least one chronic disease, and the number is growing. More than two thirds of all deaths are caused by one or more of these five chronic diseases: heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes. Identifying these diseases and offering support in the form of education and treatment of functional declines in strength, balance, and endurance can improve the quality of life for individuals with chronic diseases.
During your first appointment at 21st Century Rehab, you will meet with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in treating your condition. A full assessment will take place and you will be educated on the cause of your symptoms as well as treatment options. An individualized program will then be determined between you and your PT to best address your functional deficits and help to promote a better quality of life based on what is important to you.

MOG (Medically Oriented Gym)
Do you, a family member or friend have chronic diseases like Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Cancer, or Parkinson’s Syndrome?
